Alan (Scion Research)

“As a sponsor I found the feedback about Scion from presenters and attendees to be 100% positive. Scion provided a video to show attendees the level of science we are involved in. What we received in return was an overwhelming interest in the range of scientific research for the benefit of New Zealand that Scion is involved in. Other highlights are the quality and range of presentations that were given. The science of Prof Ian Shaw and Helena Ruffell to the innovation of Monique Kelly and The Rubbish Whisperer to the Go out there and make a change of Raquelle de Vine. If I enjoyed it as a sponsor, I can only think that the attendees also did as well. MC Tim knows his role very well and was the glue to hold interest and expectation of things to come. Making a beeswax food cover and listening to Megan talk about how to be an observer was also interesting. Must say the food was great too. Tree planting is such a positive thing to do as it costs nothing, but the trees provide those important ecosystem services for the environment. The sack rubbish bins stood out. Finally the organisation of E Wen and her team was exemplary – we were treated to an example of “how to do it” by the whole team and their volunteers. As a sponsor, the efforts by all other sponsors makes these events the success they are, so thanks to them, especially The Wright Family.”
