Interview with Honeywrap

Honeywrap is not only an innovative business, it is a beautiful story of empowering individuals to do their part in protecting the environment. Honeywrap designs and produces beeswax wraps in a range of designs and sizes, inspired by nature and a passion for making a difference by reducing the amount of plastic on the planet. Each beeswax wrap is made in New Zealand from GOTs certified organic cotton, as a natural substitute for plastic wrap. Honeywrap is also part of the Sustainable Business Network and One Percent Collective, giving one percent of their income to deserving local charities.

We were lucky enough to get caught up in this string of good deeds, interviewing Eliza from Honeywrap on their journey tackling plastic pollution. Check out her thoughts below!

  • Honeywrap began out of a school project and has now evolved in nothing short of incredible! What was the main driver of Honeywrap becoming what it is today? Our main driver has been Tara and Jo (who set up the company and have been pushing it ever since). Their dedication to this company is pretty ridiculous and they work non-stop around the clock every week. Everyone at Honeywrap is passionate about the environment and recognises the desperate need to reduce our plastic use. The way our company has evolved reflects this!
  • If you could leave readers with one takeaway on Honeywrap, plastic pollution or perhaps something different, what would it be? I think it’s important for people to realise that they are influential! The amount of waste we all create is overwhelming and we are not going to be able to live like we are for too much longer without some serious change. Every person has the power to change how they do things and make an effort to reduce their waste. Imagine if everyone shared this attitude!
  • If you were to sum up Honeywrap in one sentence what would it be? Our company aims to enable everyone with ways to reduce their plastic footprint and inspire a positive change in attitude towards our environment!

Thanks to Eliza and Honeywrap for supporting us and for everything that they do for the environment!
